I have worked with young people with Autism for over 25 years. I have over 15 years of school leadership experience. I have worked as an Autism Advisory lead and run a non-profit organisation. I have experience of opening a brand new school and a large amount of change management. I’m currently Chair of Trustees for NASS and a governor at a girl’s Sikh primary school.
Headteacher – Forest Bridge School – 2015-present Appointed as the first Head to lead the founding and development of a new Special Free School. Rooted in ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis), offering a high level of therapeutic support and excellent teaching to enable pupils with autism to reach their full potential. Leading on the expansion and growth from a handful of staff and founding pupils, to currently 126 pupils on roll, over 150 staff including behaviour analysts, teachers, support staff and a large therapies team. The school enjoys an excellent reputation, draws pupils from across 11 local authorities and is heavily oversubscribed with a waiting list of 150 pupils. Driving the design and construction of a new £11m building, which we successfully transitioned into in March 2021.
