Simon Peacock

Simon has over thirty years of professional experience in working with children and families in residential care, a therapeutic community, in local authority social work teams and latterly with an independent fostering agency.

Simon qualified as a Social Worker in 1987 from Robert Gordon’s Institute of Technology (Aberdeen). Simon began his social work career in residential care in Scotland and then worked at the Cotswold Community, a therapeutic community in Wiltshire, before becoming a local authority Social Worker and Manager in Northamptonshire in 1991.

Simon completed a MA in Therapeutic Childcare at the University of Reading in 1997 and was employed as a Senior Practitioner/Manager in a therapeutic Independent Fostering Agency from 2002 to 2021 when he retired.

Simon has a strong philosophical base relating to the importance of meeting the therapeutic needs of children and young people and became Trustee of the Mulberry Bush in November 2018.
