I consider myself to be an empathetic, pragmatic and positive individual. I have over 25 years’ experience of school leadership in mainstream and in SEMH schools including 21 years as Head Teacher of a Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) KS1 and KS2 school. For the past 14 years I have been involved in and contributed to the SEMH school Peer Review network established by the Mulberry Bush School. I have been a Local Leader of Education (LLE) for over 10 years and have provided support, through whole school training, individual coaching and mentoring, to local mainstream teachers and headteachers. I have also supported, for the past 4 years, Reading University PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) pathway students. Finally, I have completed the SIP training programme facilitated by The Mulberry Bush Outreach team and endorsed by the Crossfield Institute.
