At The Mulberry Bush, we were saddened to hear of the passing of our long standing patron, Joanna Trollope CBE.
Joanna became a patron of The Mulberry Bush School in 2006, a role she cherished. Over many years she was a generous and thoughtful supporter. Joanna actively promoted the school’s work, opening events, speaking at fundraisers, and bringing attention to our crucial mission. Joanna often spoke of the parallels between her writing and our commitment to understanding complex individual lives, believing deeply that small things matter.
‘We have been both honoured and grateful to Joanna for supporting The Mulberry Bush as a Patron over many years. Her wonderful gift for stories and the written word led to her passion for the importance of reading and writing for young children, especially those who have had an extremely difficult start in life, as is the case with children in our residential, therapeutic school. Our thoughts are with Joanna’s family and friends’
