Since 1948, The Mulberry Bush has been helping traumatised children and those around them.
As part of our continuing evolution, and to support the future growth plans of The Mulberry Bush, we are seeking Trustees with expertise in the following areas:
- Educational & therapeutic consulting / training / business development
- Commissioning of child services
- Lived experience, in particular parents & carers
- Education, particularly covering SEN
- Care / Treatment
It is an exciting time at The Mulberry Bush, with an established Board, CEO and senior management team looking to welcome those with an education or care background into our Board – for many of you this will be the first time you have considered becoming a trustee and we are very happy to support you on your journey.

The people we support were often born into challenging life circumstances where they faced trauma, abuse, and neglect as children, and now find themselves with severe social, emotional, and mental health issues with poor life chances and at risk of repeating the patterns of difficulty and trauma.
We provide a range of specialist services aimed at breaking the cycle for these, children, people, their families, and communities, many of whom have generational patterns of difficulty and trauma. Sadly, the need for our services grows every year and we are constantly looking for new ways to reach more children all over the country.
