Prior to becoming a trustee, Heather worked for many years as a lecturer at the University of East London. She led two qualitative research projects at the Mulberry Bush looking at how the School’s therapeutic milieu works on the ground, and at how staff in the organisation are supported through reflective practice.
In 2019, Heather joined the Open University as a lecturer and staff tutor in psychology and counselling. She has a particular interest in the mental health of children and young people, and in using psychodynamic thinking in different settings. She is a psychodynamic couple and individual counsellor.
