We will forever be grateful to the amazing Rahul Moodgal and his wonderful committee of Dominic Freemantle, Lucy Elwes, Andy Simpkin and Will Smith who held a beautiful dinner at Claridges in London, to raise funds for our 52-week house and new gap students’ accommodation. 180 of their friends enjoyed ice cold champagne while chatting and listening to the excellent Jazz Band The Max Johnson Trio in the Art Deco reception room.
During the delicious dinner in the sparkling ballroom Rahul gave a heart-rending speech explaining why he is so touched and impressed by The Mulberry Bush. While he was speaking the bidding on the silent auction started to go faster. Following a short film giving great insight into our work, David Daniel, an alumnus of the School, spoke for a few minutes describing his life before, during and after his time with us. At this point the bidding went wild. Then Rahul asked if guests would pledge larger donations – and these were SO generous.
The whole evening was such fun, everyone and everything looked so beautiful AND raised a HUGE, AMAZING sum and marvellous donations continue to be made!
THANK YOU RAHUL, DOM, LUCY, ANDY AND WILL AND TO ALL THE BIDDERS AND PLEDGERS ON THE EVENING:
