Organised by The Mulberry Bush and Orb8 this online event is taking place on Wednesday September 2nd from 10:00 – 13:00. It will help those who are working with vulnerable children in the return to school. We will be exploring ‘the emotional impact of transitions on vulnerable children’, ‘keeping the vulnerable child in mind; a systemic view’ and ‘supporting teachers and co-creating a culture of wellbeing’.
The learning objectives for the session are:
- To increase understanding of the emotional needs of children in the transition back to school
- To share strategies for supporting vulnerable children across the transition
- To share strategies for working with the impact of loss, bereavement, anxiety, anger and excitement in vulnerable children
- To explore support systems for school staff and ways of creating a culture of wellbeing for all staff and pupils
