“The Opera staged every year in a marquee at Distillery Farm, has become one of the hightlights of cultural life in the Cotswolds. Vocally and dramatically the performances reach a really high standard, the four musicians substitute completely for the Covent Garden orchestra and the staging is often startlingly original. It’s an evening not to be missed.”

Lord  Moyne February 2010

Unstuffy, intimate, good music, one of the highlights of the summer.

Jolyon Connell  January 2010

“We had a wonderful time, really amazing. What a beautiful garden to wander
round. It can’t be easy to sing and act with the audience on all four sides
and so close; the cast gave it their all and the orchestral playing was a tour de force – it was full of drama and one came away with great music swirling round in one’s head and the feeling of having been ‘in’ the action. Our guests called it  ‘the experience of a lifetime’. “

David Thistlethwaite following Tosca 2010

The Opera was real 100% pleasure.  The music and the acting were excellent, the house and garden  looked charming, the dinner was delicious –  it really was the perfect way to enjoy opera on a wonderful summer evening.”
