Rediscovering Harold Bridger: his life, work and legacy

In 2020 the PET Archives secured funding from the Wellcome Trust to catalogue over 200 boxes of records relating to the life, work and legacy of Harold Bridger (1909-2005).

Harold Bridger is most recognised as being a pioneer of therapeutic communities, a founder of the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations, a psychoanalyst and a organisational consultant.

Due to the variety and longevity of Harold Bridger’s career, his personal papers hold a wealth of records and record types to inform and inspire a wide range of individuals and organisations.

To learn more about the project and Bridger’s work please contact Debra Doggett, Senior Archivist ([email protected]), visit the project’s introductory blog or view the dedicated Instagram page.
