The Mulberry Bush Third SpaceWelcome to the latest Mulberry Bush service. MB3 is our picturesque and peaceful rural site in the heart of the Cotswolds, situated in the village of Toddington, Gloucestershire, just 12 miles from Cheltenham.

MB3 is useful for conferences, training courses, workshops, seminars, study and research and for use by schools, clubs and groups.

This unique site offers three different and interesting spaces for therapeutic driven organisations, as well as Therapeutic Communities to utilise. They provide:

  • A place to meet and work together
  • A place to reflect and learn
  • A place for fun and entertainment

The uniquely designed main building has:

  • 2 small meetings room for up to 15 people
  • Large conference hall for 30 people
  • Fully functioning kitchen
  • Large communal dining area
  • Multimedia presentation facilities

The Planned Environment Therapy Archive

This holds substantial collections on the history of adult, prison and children’s therapeutic communities and environments including children’s homes and schools offering alternative education. We are open to individuals, schools and organisations who may want to find out more and research into the history of community/collective and relational therapeutic living and healing.

The National Childcare Library

An extension of the archive available for research purposes The library also holds a large collection of books relating to adult therapeutic communities and environments.

The Residential building contains:

  • 12 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 22 people
  • Small lounge area, opening up to the meadow and picnic area
  • Small kitchen area
  • 6 Communal Bathrooms
  • A separate laundry facility

The Meadow

The meadow can cater for a variety of outdoor activities, such as mindfulness and meditative relaxation and is ideal for schools and youth groups offering outdoor education. There is a  camping area for up to 10, 2 person tents, (not provided) a fire-pit, and a ‘wild’ nature area .

There is additional space at the site for Marquees, Bell tents and Yurts (not provided).
There are provisions for 22 car parking spaces on site
