Trauma-Informed Practice in Residential Child Care – An Active Education Event

An Active Education Event is a new approach to training tailored to the needs of front-line practitioners working in residential childcare and foster care, mental health, education, HMPs, social care, therapeutic communities and the British Army.

It is designed to provide a transformative learning experience blending a personal style of conference presentation with a series of experiential group events” Dr Chris Nicholson

This two day event will:

  • Be an opportunity for accelerated professional development in your role and career.
  • Help you make connections between your professional and personal identity and develop as a reflective practitioner.
  • Discover your own story, why you were drawn to this work and how does this relate to your life experience

This event is jointly run by the Department of Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies in conjunction with The Consortium of Therapeutic Communities and the Mulberry Bush.

The cost of tickets for this event includes all meals, refreshments and accommodation. Please note that the accommodation provided is in shared rooms.
