Steve Munby, chief executive of the National College for School Leadership, visited us recently.  As well as talking with senior members of staff about the work that the school does, he spent time in the class for the newest children to the school, Foundation, and in the class where the most socially mature children are, Thames classes.  When asked about the differences he noticed between the 2 groups he replied “The children in Foundation were doing very well with the support they had from the adults.  The Thames children were very impressive.  You really change children’s lives here”.  He then went on to describe the work of the school overall as “inspirational”.
